Taupo Social Ride

We will be having a Members social ride circumnavigating Lake Taupo on Saturday 27th September. This is a free ride organised for our members.

All members are welcome to come along,

If you have a friend with a Jetski that isn’t a member, they are also welcome to come along

We will have the BBQ going at the lunch stop at the Kuratau boat ramp with food and drinks supplied,

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended for this trip for safety (and as a bonus it helps keep your head warm)

Passengers are welcome, however, please be aware that conditions can be very changing as we ride around the lake, so please ensure both you and your passenger are comfortable riding in rough conditions.

Fuel:

You must bring an extra 20L container filled with fuel for your ski, this will be taken to the lunch stop for you to top up with by the crew on the road, write your name on the container and drop it to the crew when meeting at the boat ramp.  Please ensure your ski is also filled with fuel prior to the ride.

Meetup Info:

Meet at the 2 Mile Bay boat ramp at 9am, where we will have some small paperwork to complete, before we depart approx 10am heading south.

Entry Fee:

There is no entry fee for this ride 🙂

To use any of the Taupo boat ramps you must have a ramp permit, these can be purchased online at the link below:

Alternate Ride in case of poor weather:

In the event of poor weather on Lake Taupo we will be running a ride up the Waikato River and visit some geothermal areas, This will be decided on the morning, and we will advise of this at the boat ramp.

Pre-registering is no longer available for this event, we will have extra registration forms available on the morning if you are coming along.
