DESCRIPTION:\nReturn trip leaving from: Wellington Powerboat clubrooms, Onepoto, Titahi Bay to Waikawa Bay marina.\n\nOn the day:\n\nMeet at the Onepoto clubrooms at 7:00am.\nRiders must be over 15 years of age.\nNo passengers allowed.\nNo 2 strokes due to reliability issues in the past.\n\nYou must have:\n\nWarm clothes, helmet, tow rope and a fully charged cellphone in waterproof container.\nYou may also wish to bring, a hand-held VHF radio, flares, distress beacon (EPIRB).\nEnsure your ski is full of coolant, oil and fuel.\nCarry a minimum of $150 Cash and a credit or EFTPOS card, for refuelling and lunch.\n(We recommend you bring some snacks / drinks as food outlets are not easy to get to at Waikawa).\nYou must refuel your ski in Waikawa.\n\nUpon returning to the clubrooms we will have the BBQ running for the riders to grab a sausage and a drink.\nEntry fee: $40 for WJSC Members, $70 for non-members\nEntry fee is payable in cash on the morning of the ride at registration, this removes the need to process refunds in the event of a cancellation of the ride.\nAs we are affiliated to the NZJSBA and this event is NZJSBA sanctioned, all riders must hold either an NZJSBA race license or social license.  If you have not obtained a social license from a previous NZJSBA sanctioned event you can purchase one at registration for $20.\nThe NZJSBA Social license is a replacement for the old “Day license” and is valid for the current season instead of just the day of the event, allowing you can participate in any other NZJSBA sanctioned event held by any other NZ club within the season the license was purchased.\nCancellations:\nIn the event of an adverse weather forecast, there will be an update on the likeliness of the ride being cancelled/postponed earlier in the week for those that are travelling from outside of Wellington, with a final call being made on the Thursday prior to the ride.\nNotifications of a cancellation/postponement will be sent out via email and published on our Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/WellingtonJetSportClub/ ) page.\nOur postponement date for this trip is Sunday 24th November\n\nRegistration:\nThe Cook Strait crossing is limited to 40 riders, these will be taken on a first in basis with WJSC club members taking priority.\nRegistration is now closed for this ride.\n \n\n\n
