DESCRIPTION:Due to the current price of fuel and other costs involved with running this trip it would be uneconomical to run and we have made the decision to postpone the next trip until later in the year.\nNew Date TBC\nReturn trip leaving from Onepoto, Titahi Bay, to Waikawa Bay marina.\n\nThis ride is limited to 30 riders and registration is required, you cannot just turn up on the day.\nOn the day:\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet at the Wellington powerboat club clubrooms at 7:00am.\nRiders must be over 15 years of age.\nNo passengers allowed.\nNo 2-stroke powered vessels due to reliability issues in the past.\nAs this trip can get rough we have made the decision to not allow Seadoo Spark models on the trip.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou must have:\n\nRiding gear:\n\nWetsuit\nSuitable footwear\nPFD (Life jacket)\nHelmet (Motocross style or similar – Must be DOT, Snell or ECE standard approved)\nGloves and Goggles are recommended.\n\n\nTow rope\nFully charged cellphone in waterproof container.\nYou may also wish to bring:\n\nHand-held VHF radio\nFlares\nDistress beacon (EPIRB)\n\n\nEnsure your ski is full of coolant, oil and fuel.\nYou must being a CREDIT or DEBIT CARD for refuelling, also bring a minimum of $200 cash as a backup in the case of your card not working at the marina fuel pump.\nWe recommend you bring some snacks / drinks as food outlets are not easy to get to at Waikawa\nYou must refuel your ski in Waikawa.\n\nEntry fee:\n\n$50 for WJSC members\n$80 for non-members\n\nDue to costs related to organising and running the crossing we will only be able to offer refunds up to 7 days before the ride, except in the case of a cancellation or postponement.\nSocial license:\nAs we are affiliated to the NZJSBA and this event is NZJSBA sanctioned, all riders must hold either an NZJSBA race license or social license.\n\nIf you do not have a current license you will get one as part of the registration form below, the cost for this is $20.00 and this is valid for the current season.\nSouvenir Shirt:\nWe are offering souvenir shirts for those who would like one, just choose your size when filling out the entry form below.  Shirts are available for $40.00.\nCancellation:\nIn the event of an adverse weather forecast, there will be an update on the likeliness of the ride being cancelled/postponed earlier in the week for those that are travelling from outside of Wellington, with a final call being made on the Thursday prior to the ride.\nNotifications of a cancellation/postponement will be sent out via email and published on our Facebook page.\nIn the event of a cancellation/postponement, there will be an option of a full refund, or to remain on the list for the postponement date/next crossing.\nThe postponement date for this ride is XXXXXX.\n\nRegistration:\nRegistration will open once we have confirmed a date for this trip\n
